For the eldest child who qualifies. £15.75
Lone parents with protected rights may continue to get for the eldest child. £17.55
For each other child who qualifies. £10.55

The most Council Tax Benefit you can get is the full council tax you have to pay. There are special rules for students. The rates used to work out your Council Tax Benefit are generally the same as the allowances and premiums that make up Income Support and income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA). There are a few exceptions.
