Some refugees may find it difficult to get started or get use to new culture and language difficulties.
Some refugees have been tortured or been traumatized by the events which made them to leave their countries and might be worried about their family back home.

These anxieties can make you feel unwell. It often helps to talk with a trained person from the Refugee Support Centre or the Medical Foundation for the care of victims of Torture offers such help in London. To received help from the Medical Foundation, you must be referred to them by another agency, such as your GP or one-stop-shop. Your GP can also refer you to a special clinic.

.: Complaints.

For one reason or the other, if you have complaints about your GP, dentist, optician or any thing to do with your NHS treatment, discuss it first with the person concerned and if you are not satisfy, there is a complaints procedure. If you are not satisfied, complain in writing to the district health authority and if you have difficulties making your complaint, your local community health council can advice you. Your local Citizen Advice Bureau can also help you.
